Brecher Prototyping offers CNC mill and lathe services as a bridge-to-production solution when production-grade parts and components are needed at the end of the product development process. Our team can build and assemble finished goods out of a variety of materials that can be used for actual form, fit, and function testing during product pilots. The range of material choices allows parts to be made with the desired material properties, and good tolerances yield parts suitable for form, fit and function testing.
HOW IT WORKS
The machine then rapidly mills your parts out of the block in a subtractive manufacturing process of three-axis milling from up to six orthogonal sides. All of our machined plastic parts are left as-milled, which typically means they show visible tool marks. Some metal parts, on the other hand, allow more finishing choices. When the run is complete and your required surface finish is applied, parts are boxed and shipped shortly thereafter.
By using traditional manufacturing equipment such as a CNC router and metal lathe, Brecher’s Tecate CNC precision machining team can create your final products out of a variety of materials. Metal options include stainless, aluminum, brass, and more. Plastic options includes PP, HDPE, LDPE, PC, ABS, acrylic, and more. During the machining process, a solid block of material is clamped into a CNC mill and cut into a finished part. We employ three-axis milling from up to six orthogonal sides of the part to machine as many features as possible.
